Hello folks , welcome to Thriller Facts ! Today I'm going to show you about a very interesting topic which is based on the working of 3 Dimensional movies.
So, I assume you would be thinking how are we able to see a 3 Dimensional object on a 2 Dimensional flat screen whenever you get out of the theatre after watching a 3D movie.
If you do ,and yet haven't received any answer for it then be assured that u are going to get your answer here.
And the answer is that, it's never the movie which made you see 3D objects !! It's your eyes and your brain the whole time ;)
Here is a small task for you :
Just close your left eye for 3 seconds and then close your right eye and open your left eye for 3 seconds.
You would have somewhat experienced the above image and it's obvious because of the positioning of both the eye and the objects due to with this difference occurs.
This difference is called the PARALLAX !
Please do not panic as I will try my best to minimize the use of technical terms to the extent possible. ^_^
This difference in the eye positioning and the brain making a single image out of both the visuals recieved is the main reason how the 3D films work !
I would recommend not to sue 3D films as it was your brain which was showing you 3D image not the movie, instead the movies paved a way to trick the brain and make your experience better with the mechanism below.
The working is that the film creates two different visuals respectively for the each eye in one screen. But there was one difficulty in the working and it was ,' What if the left eye sees the image which was made for the right eye and vice versa ? ' and this difficulty was solved by the invention of 3D glasses which shows the right eye only the picture which is meant for it and left eye the picture which is meant for it and then the brain does the entire work of combining both the visuals into 3D !!!
So now what ? As you know to experience 3D you need both the eye to work so what if a person who is partial blind views the movie ?
Simple, he can't experience 3D and he is suggested only to view 2D formats.
So now the issue is, can you see 3D without a 3D glass and the answer is yes you can , and I'm going to show u how with the below task.
Task:
I'll provide a VR(Virtual reality) image at the end of steps and the steps are as follows:
Original image:
Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
Now you go and try with the original image the above steps and be amazed !!
Note: If you are having strain in eye then please skip this experiment.
After this successful experiment you can now guess yourself why Virtual Reality games and videos have two videos together .
Here I conclude my explanation with few VR SCREENSHOTS which you can try to view in 3D with the above steps !!!
View the images with full screen for greater experience.
Thank you !!
